This course covers the first 2 segments of the Openwater Course,
Academic Training, ( Classroom & Independent study sessions )
Confined Water Training, ( Pool Sessions )

What Does The Course Allow Me To Do ?

This course allows you to start the Openwater Course at home with your Instructor taking you through the Classroom segments and the Confined Water Skills needed to start the Openwater Course,
This then allows you to continue away from home with another Instructor/Dive Centre which will take you through the rest of the Openwater Course,
This could be just the 4 Openwater Dives or even finishing off the Confined Water/Classroom sessions not completed before starting the Openwater Dives,

What Will I Need ?

Be in good health, be reasonably fit and comfortable in water,
Be over the age of 12 years old for the Junior Openwater Diver or over 15 years old for the Openwater Diver,
You'll need to bring a swim suit, towel and 2 Passport Sized Photograghs,
Complete a PADI Medical Statement Form, PADI Statement Of Risks & Liability Form, PADI SAFE Diving Form,
(All downloaded from this site or from the PADI website)
You'll need self-study material, PADI Manual and DVD which we require you to read before starting your first session,

How Long Will It Take ?

Independent Home Study (Manual & DVD),
3 Full Days Academic Training & Confined Water Training (Swimming Pool),

What Will I Do ?

You'll learn all the basics of scuba diving through Knowledge Development material, 
Practise the 20 underwater skills needed to prevent common problems underwater,
Acquire the knowledge of what aquatic life lives underwater and what you'll encounter,

What Will I Use ?

All the equipment that you'll use is the basic scuba gear typically used by a Qualified Scuba Diver,
Mask, Snorkel and Fins,
Buoyancy Control Devise (BCD) which includes the scuba tank,
Regulator to breathe from and also a console that tells you your air supply and depth,
You will also wear a weight system and also an exposure suit as required by the local environment,
