What Does The Course Allow Me To Do ?

Once certified the Openwater Diver Course allows you to dive anywhere in the world with another Certified Diver to a Maximum depth of 18 Metres,
And lets you start exploring the fantastic underwater world,

What Will I Need ?

Be in good health, be reasonably fit and comfortable in water,
Be over the age of 12 years old for the Junior Openwater Diver or over 15 years old for the Openwater Diver,
You'll need to bring a swim suit, towel and 2 Passport Sized Photograghs,

Be able to swim 200 metres non-stop and also tread water for 10 minutes,
Complete a PADI Medical Statement Form, PADI Statement Of Risks & Liability Form, PADI SAFE Diving Form,

You'll need self-study material, PADI Manual and DVD which we require you to read before starting your first session,

How Long Will It Take ?


Independent Home Study (Manual & DVD),
3 Full Days Academic Training & Confined Water Training (Swimming Pool),
2 Full Days Openwater Training (local Lake or Coast sessions),

What Will I Do ?

Classroom sessions:-  you'll learn all the basics of scuba diving through Knowledge Development material, 

Pool sessions:-
  you'll practise the 20 underwater skills needed to prevent common problems underwater,
Swim 200 metres non-stop in any style and also tread water for 10 minutes,
Acquire the knowledge of what aquatic life lives underwater and what you'll encounter,

Lake or Coastal sessions:-
  you'll display that you have mastered the 20 skills learnt in the pool by demonstrating them in the Openwater without assistance,


What Will I Use ?

All the equipment that you'll use is the basic scuba gear typically used by a Qualified Scuba Diver,
Mask, Snorkel and Fins,
Buoyancy Control Devise (BCD) which includes the scuba tank,
Regulator to breathe from and also a console that has your your air gauge, depth gauge and compass,
You will also wear a weight system and also an exposure suit as required by the local environment,
